Getting There

• Public Transportation

  From the nearest major town, such as Dunai, take a local bus or jeep heading towards Shey Phoksundo National Park. The journey will take approximately 3-4 hours. Once you reach the entrance of the park, pay the entry fee, which is around NPR 1,500 for foreign tourists. After entering the park, you can either hire a local guide or continue on foot. Follow the designated trekking trails towards Prem Taal. The trek will take about 4-5 hours, depending on your pace. Make sure to carry sufficient water and snacks.

• Private Vehicle

  If you have access to a private vehicle, drive from Dunai towards the Shey Phoksundo National Park entrance. Parking is available near the entrance. After parking, follow the well-marked trails leading to Prem Taal. The trek from the entrance to Prem Taal is approximately 10 kilometers and can take around 4-5 hours. Make sure to leave early in the day to allow enough time to return before dark.

  For a more comprehensive experience, consider hiring a trekking guide service available in Dunai or Kaigaun.
