If you're traveling by car, start by entering the A1 highway from your location in Achterhoek. Follow the A1 towards Amsterdam. After approximately 90 km, take the exit towards A10 (Ring Amsterdam). Continue on the A10 and take the exit 9 towards Amsterdam-Zuid. Merge onto the Amstelveenseweg, follow the signs for Amsterdam-Centrum, and then you can park at one of the parking garages near Nicolaas Witsenkade, such as 'Q-Park Heinekenplein'. From the parking garage, it is a short 10-minute walk to the Van Randwijk monument located at Nicolaas Witsenkade 1.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, catch a train from Veenendaal or any train station in Achterhoek to Amsterdam Central Station. The train ride takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, take tram line 16 towards Zuid and get off at the 'Zuid' station. From there, it’s a 15-minute walk to the Van Randwijk monument at Nicolaas Witsenkade 1. Alternatively, you can take a bus from the station if you prefer not to walk.
