If you are driving, start by getting onto the N214 road, heading towards Gorinchem. Once you reach Gorinchem, follow the signs for the A15 highway. After a few minutes, take the exit towards Parklaan. Continue on Parklaan and then take a right onto Waalbanddijk. Follow Waalbanddijk until you reach the entrance of De Avelingen, which will be on your left. Parking is available nearby.

To reach De Avelingen using public transportation, first head to the nearest train station in Alblasserwaard. Take a train to Gorinchem, which is approximately a 15-20 minute ride. Once you arrive at Gorinchem station, exit the station and catch bus line 1 towards 'Boven-Hardinxveld'. Get off at the 'Waalbanddijk' stop, which is close to De Avelingen. From the bus stop, walk a short distance south along Waalbanddijk, and you will find the entrance to De Avelingen.

Bicycle
If you're in the mood for cycling, rent a bike in Alblasserwaard and follow the scenic bike paths towards Gorinchem. Once you reach Gorinchem, navigate to Waalbanddijk by following the paths along the river. This route is approximately 8 km and offers beautiful views of the landscape. Upon reaching Waalbanddijk, De Avelingen will be on your left. There are bike racks available for parking your bicycle.
