If you're in the vicinity of Dam Square, you can walk to Nieuwe Haarlemmersluis. From Dam Square, head towards Rokin Street and walk straight until you reach the junction. Turn left onto the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal and continue until you reach the canal. Turn right onto the canal path, and follow it until you see Stromarkt. The Nieuwe Haarlemmersluis will be at Stromarkt 1.
