Train
If you are in Amsterdam, start by heading to Amsterdam Central Station. From there, take a train to Hoorn. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival at Hoorn Station, exit the station and walk straight ahead until you reach the main road. Turn left onto Stationsweg, then continue straight until you reach the intersection with Roode Steen. Turn right onto Roode Steen, and you will find the Waag at number 8 on your left.
Bus
From Amsterdam, you can take a bus to Hoorn. Head to the nearest bus station, such as Amsterdam Sloterdijk, and catch a bus towards Hoorn. The journey will take about an hour. Once you arrive at Hoorn, disembark at the main bus station. From there, walk towards the center of Hoorn, crossing over to Roode Steen. The Waag will be at number 8 on your left.
Bike
For the adventurous, renting a bike in Amsterdam is a great option. Cycle towards the north out of the city, taking the route along the IJsselmeer. The ride to Hoorn is approximately 40 km and will take around 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Upon arriving in Hoorn, make your way to the city center, find Roode Steen, and look for number 8 where the Waag is located.
Taxi/ride-sharing
You can also opt for a taxi or a ride-sharing service like Uber. Simply request a ride to Roode Steen 8, 1621 CV Hoorn. The drive will take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off right at the Waag, making it a convenient option.
