Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Delft city center, specifically at the Markt square where the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) is located. From the church, head south towards the Voldersgracht canal. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Papenstraat. Turn left onto Papenstraat and walk until you reach the first major intersection with the Wippolderweg. Cross the Wippolderweg and continue straight onto the Gasthuislaan. Follow this road as it curves slightly to the right, then take a left onto the Zusterstraat. Continue walking straight, and you will find yourself at the main train station, Delft Railway Station. From the station, take a train heading towards Leiden. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Upon arrival at Leiden station, exit the station and make your way to the bus stop located directly outside. Take bus line 1 or 2 towards the city center and get off at the stop 'Leiden, Breestraat'. From there, walk towards the Beschuitsteeg street. The Leiden American Pilgrim Museum will be located on your right at Beschuitsteeg 9.

    If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Delft. Start at the Markt square and head south towards the Voldersgracht canal. Follow the canal straight until you reach the roundabout, where you will take the second exit onto the Prinses Beatrixlaan. Follow this road as it transitions into the Schieweg. Continue cycling straight until you reach the Delft Railway Station. From there, board a train towards Leiden which takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Leiden station, exit and cycle towards the city center. You can park your bike at the bike racks near the Beschuitsteeg. The museum will be just a short walk away from the bike parking area.
