If you are starting from Assen, take the A28 towards Groningen, then take the exit towards the N381. Follow the N381 and take the exit towards Appelscha. Follow the signs to Drents-Friese Wold. Parking is available near the park entrances, which may incur a small fee.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a train to the nearest station, which is Beilen. From Beilen, take bus line 21 towards Assen and get off at the Appelscha stop. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. From the bus stop, it's a short 15-minute walk to the entrance of Drents-Friese Wold.
