Getting There

  • Walking

    From the city center of Groningen, start at the Grote Markt (Main Market Square). Head south on Astraat towards Vismarkt. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Folkingestraat. Turn left onto Folkingestraat and walk until you reach the Vismarkt. At Vismarkt, take the tram towards Hoornse Park (if available) or continue walking straight. If walking, proceed straight onto the Hereweg road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by various shops and cafes. Once you reach the junction with Hoornsedijk, turn right. Continue along Hoornsedijk until you reach the entrance to Hoornse Park.

    From the central bus station in Groningen, take bus line 6 towards 'Zernike,' which runs frequently. It will take you directly towards Hoornse Park. Get off at the 'Hoornse Park' bus stop. From there, it's just a short walk to the main entrance of the park. Follow the signs to the park entrance, which will be to your left.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops around the city. Start from the city center and head south towards the Hereweg. Follow the bike paths along Hereweg for about 1.5 kilometers. When you reach the intersection with Hoornsedijk, turn right and follow the road until you arrive at Hoornse Park. There are parking areas for bicycles at the entrance.
