Walking
From the Haarlem city center, head east towards the main train station, Haarlem Centraal. Once you reach the station, take the train to Amsterdam Centraal. The train ride takes about 20 minutes. Upon arrival at Amsterdam Centraal, exit the station and head straight towards the main street, which is called Damrak. Continue walking straight until you reach the Dam Square. From Dam Square, walk onto Kalverstraat, which is a famous shopping street. Continue walking down Kalverstraat for about 10-15 minutes until you reach Kalverstraat 92, where the Amsterdam Museum Building is located. The museum will be on your right-hand side.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Haarlem. After renting a bike, head towards the east side of the city and follow the cycling paths to Amsterdam. The ride will take you about 30-40 minutes. Upon entering Amsterdam, follow the signs towards the city center, and once you reach Dam Square, locate Kalverstraat. Cycle down Kalverstraat and look for number 92 on your right side, where the Amsterdam Museum Building is located.
Public Transport
Start at the nearest bus or tram stop in Haarlem and take bus line 80 or tram line 1 towards Amsterdam. You will get off at the stop called 'Dam' in Amsterdam. From there, walk towards Dam Square, and then continue onto Kalverstraat. Walk straight for about 10-15 minutes until you arrive at Kalverstraat 92, the location of the Amsterdam Museum Building, which will be on your right.
