Walking
If you are in the center of Haarlem, start at the main square, Grote Markt. From the square, head south towards the Spaarne River. Cross the bridge and continue walking straight. You will reach the train station, Haarlem Centraal. Once there, take the train towards Den Haag (The Hague) which takes about 30-40 minutes. After arriving at Den Haag Centraal, exit the station and head towards the tram stop. Take tram line 1, 9, or 16 towards the direction of 'Ternoot' or 'Scheveningen'. Get off at 'Buitenhof' stop. From there, walk towards Rond de Grote Kerk, which is just a short 5-minute walk. You will see the church's towering spire as you approach.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Haarlem. Once you have your bike, head towards the city park, Kenaupark, and exit towards the Spaarne River. Turn left and follow the river until you reach the outskirts of the city. Look for the signs leading to Den Haag. The ride takes about 30 minutes. As you approach Den Haag, follow the signs to the city center, where you will find Grote Kerk located at Rond de Grote Kerk 12.
Public Transport
From anywhere in Haarlem, make your way to Haarlem Centraal Station. Purchase a train ticket to Den Haag Centraal. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. After arriving in Den Haag, follow the signs to the tram station located adjacent to the train station. Take tram line 1, 9, or 16 towards 'Scheveningen' and get off at 'Buitenhof'. From there, walk towards Rond de Grote Kerk, which should be a 5-minute walk straight ahead.
