Walking
If you are starting from Haarlem's central train station (Haarlem Centraal), exit the station and head east on Stationstraat. Continue straight until you reach the large intersection with the 'Zijlweg' road. Turn left onto Zijlweg and walk until you reach the end of the street. At the end, turn right onto 'Kruisweg'. Follow 'Kruisweg' until you reach the 'Grote Markt' square, which is the heart of Haarlem. From the Grote Markt, head southeast towards 'Oude Groenmarkt', then continue walking straight until you find the 'Oude Gracht'. From here, follow signs for public transport to Utrecht, or you can take a train from Haarlem's station to 'Utrecht Centraal'.

Rent a bicycle at one of the rental shops near Haarlem's central station. Head east on Stationstraat and follow the same route as if you were walking until you reach 'Kruisweg'.
