Getting There

  • Train

    From Haarlem, head to Haarlem train station (Haarlem CS). You can walk to the station from the center of Haarlem, it’s about a 15-minute walk. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Alkmaar, which is approximately a 30-minute train ride. Trains run frequently, check the schedule on the NS website or at the station. Once you arrive at Alkmaar train station, exit the station and follow the signs towards the city center. Oudegracht is a short 15-minute walk from the station. Just head straight down the main road, and you will find Oudegracht along the canal.

    From Haarlem, you can take bus line 340 from the Haarlem bus station near the train station. Buses to Alkmaar are relatively frequent. The journey takes about 40 minutes.
