Getting There

Walking
From the central train station (Haarlem CS), exit the station and head southeast on Stationsplein toward Zijlweg. Continue straight onto Zijlweg, then turn left onto the Zijlstraat. Walk until you reach the intersection, then turn right onto the Nieuwe Gracht. Follow the Nieuwe Gracht until you get to the end of the canal where you will see the large green park (Kenaupark). Cross the park diagonally toward the eastern exit. Once you exit the park, turn right onto the Kenaupark. Continue straight until you reach the large intersection with the main road. Cross the road and you will find the bus stop for bus 300 toward Amsterdam. Take the bus towards Amsterdam and get off at the 'Amsterdam, Rembrandtplein' stop. You will be right at the Rembrandtplein.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Haarlem. From the rental shop, head toward the city center and then follow the signs toward Amsterdam via the N208 road. The route is about 20 kilometers and will take you through beautiful Dutch countryside. When you reach Amsterdam, follow signs for 'Amsterdam-Centrum' and you will reach Rembrandtplein. Park your bicycle at one of the designated bike racks near the square.

Public Transport (Bus/Train)
From Haarlem, head to the central train station (Haarlem CS). Purchase a ticket to Amsterdam (with trains heading to Amsterdam Centraal). Once on the train, it will take approximately 15-20 minutes to reach Amsterdam. After arriving at Amsterdam Centraal, exit the station and head to the bus terminal located just outside the station. Look for bus lines that go to 'Rembrandtplein' or take tram line 4, 9, or 14. Get off at the 'Rembrandtplein' stop, and you will find yourself in the middle of the square.
