Walking
If you are currently in Haarlem, start by walking to Haarlem's main train station, Haarlem Station. Once at the station, you can take a train to Amsterdam Central Station. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes. After arriving at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and head south towards the Damrak street. Walk straight along Damrak until you reach the junction with the Rokin street. Turn left onto Rokin and continue walking until you reach the Spui square. From Spui, head southeast along the Spui street until you reach the Zuiderkerkhof square. The Zuiderkerk will be on your right at Zuiderkerkhof 72.
Public Transport (Train)
From your location in Haarlem, make your way to Haarlem Station. Purchase a ticket to Amsterdam Central Station, which is a short train ride away (about 15 minutes). Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, follow the signs to the front exit. Head straight down the Damrak street, which runs alongside the station. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with Rokin street. Turn left onto Rokin and walk until you reach Spui. At Spui, proceed southeast on Spui street, and it will lead you to Zuiderkerkhof. You will find Zuiderkerk at number 72 on your right.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle in Haarlem. Start at the city center and head toward the Haarlem train station to join the bike path that leads to Amsterdam. Follow the designated cycle paths that guide you directly to Amsterdam, which takes about 30-40 minutes of cycling. Upon arriving in Amsterdam, navigate towards the city center and look for signs directing you to the Zuiderkerk, which is located at Zuiderkerkhof 72. You can park your bike nearby and walk to the church.
