Walking
Start at Leiden Central Station. Exit the station and head south towards the Lammenschans. Turn left onto Lammenschans and continue walking straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with the Zijlweg. Turn right onto Zijlweg and walk until you reach the A44 highway. Cross the highway using the pedestrian bridge, and continue straight on the bike path until you reach the next intersection. At this point, you will be entering the city center. Continue walking straight until you reach the Breestraat. Turn left onto Breestraat and walk straight; you will find many shops and cafes along the way. Finally, follow the signs to the bus terminal and take Bus 43 towards Amsterdam. Get off at the 'Noordermarkt' stop in Amsterdam.
Public Transport
From Leiden Central Station, purchase a ticket to Amsterdam. Board the Intercity train heading to Amsterdam Central Station. The journey takes about 35 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and walk towards the IJ River. From there, take tram 3, tram 5, or tram 10 from the tram stop located just outside the station. Get off at the 'Noordermarkt' stop. You will find yourself in the vicinity of the Noordermarkt, which is a vibrant square known for its market and surrounding cafes.
Bicycle
If you're comfortable riding a bicycle, you can rent one in Leiden. From the rental location, head towards the Breestraat and follow the bike paths toward the A44 highway. Cross the A44 using the designated bike lanes. Once in Amsterdam, follow the bike lanes towards the city center, keeping the canals on your right. As you approach the area, look for signs pointing to the 'Noordermarkt'. It should be a quick ride of about 30-40 minutes depending on your speed.
