    Public Transport

    From Leiden Central Station, take the Intercity train towards The Hague (Den Haag) Central Station. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at The Hague Central Station, exit the station and head towards the tram stop located just outside the station. Take tram line 1 (direction Scheveningen) or tram line 9 (direction Scheveningen), and get off at the Carnegieplein stop. The Peace Palace is just a short walk from the tram stop, located at Carnegieplein 2.

    If you prefer to walk from Leiden, start at the city center and head towards the Leiden Central Station. From there, follow the signs to the train platform and take an Intercity train towards The Hague Central Station. After arriving at The Hague, exit the station, and walk towards the Peace Palace. It’s about a 30-minute walk from the station. Simply head southwest on the Koningin Julianaplein, continue straight onto the Lange Voorhout, and then turn right onto Carnegieplein.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the bike rental shops in Leiden. Head towards the north on the N206 road towards The Hague. Follow the bike lanes, which will take you directly to The Hague.
