From the center of Leiden, head towards the main train station, Leiden Centraal. Exit the station and walk straight down Stationsweg until you reach the intersection with Breestraat. Turn left onto Breestraat and continue walking until you reach the large square, Burcht. From Burcht, head north towards the Singel canal and follow it until you arrive at the Westergracht. Once you reach the Westergracht, turn right and continue walking until you see the Hagebrug on your left side.

Start at the main bus stop at Leiden Centraal train station. Take bus number 50 or 51 towards Haarlem. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Haarlem, Hagebrug' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the bridge; just follow the signs towards the Oude Stad area.

If you're renting a bike in Leiden, head towards the bike path that leads to Haarlem. Follow the signs for the Fietsroute (bicycle route) towards Haarlem, which will guide you along scenic routes.
