Public Transport - Bus
From Maastricht city center, head to the bus station 'Maastricht, Station'. Take bus number 57 towards Valkenburg. The bus ride will take approximately 25 minutes. Once you arrive at 'Valkenburg, Station', exit the bus and walk towards Plenkertstraat. Turn right onto Plenkertstraat and continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach the Roman Catacombs at Plenkertstraat 55.
Walking
If you prefer walking, start at the Vrijthof square in Maastricht. Head east on St. Bernardusstraat, then turn left onto Muntstraat. Continue straight until you reach the river Maas. Cross the river using the bridge, and follow the signs leading to Valkenburg. The walk is approximately 6 kilometers and will take about 1.5 hours. Once you enter Valkenburg, head to Plenkertstraat and follow it until you reach the Roman Catacombs at number 55.
Taxi or Rideshare
You can also take a taxi or use a rideshare service from anywhere in Maastricht. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'Plenkertstraat 55, Valkenburg'. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic and will cost approximately €20-€30.
