Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the main town of Den Burg. Head southeast on the N-Texel road, which is well-marked. Continue on this road for about 5 minutes until you see signs for De Hoge Berg. Turn left onto Hoge Bergweg and follow this road until you reach the parking area for De Hoge Berg. Parking is free, and the hiking area is just a short walk from there.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take the Texelhopper bus service, which operates throughout the island. From Den Burg, board Bus Line 1 towards 'De Koog'. Ask the driver to stop at the Hoge Berg stop. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Once you get off, follow the signs that lead you to the hiking trails of De Hoge Berg. Ensure to check the bus schedule beforehand to plan your return trip.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Den Burg. From the town center, head southeast on the N-Texel road. Follow the bike lanes for about 5 kilometers, which should take around 20-30 minutes. When you reach Hoge Bergweg, turn right and follow the road to De Hoge Berg. There are bike racks available for you to lock up your bike while you explore the area.
