Experience De Mient

Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving, start from Den Burg, which is centrally located on Texel Island. Head south on the N501 towards De Mient. Follow the signs towards 'Nature Preserve'. After approximately 5 km, you will see signs directing you to De Mient. There is a parking area nearby where you can leave your car. Note that parking may incur a small fee, so keep some change handy.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach De Mient via public transport, take bus line 28 from Den Burg. Buses run regularly, and you can check the timetable at the local bus station. After about a 15-minute ride, get off at the 'De Mient' stop. The bus fare is around €3. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the entrance of the nature preserve. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return trips.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Den Burg. Follow the cycling paths leading towards De Mient. The route is scenic and takes approximately 30 minutes. There are bike racks available at De Mient for you to lock your bicycle. Remember to bring a lock and some water for your ride.
