Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards De Cocksdorp from your current location on Texel Island. Use the main road (N 500) that connects various parts of the island. Follow the signs towards De Cocksdorp. Once you arrive in De Cocksdorp, look for Vuurtorenweg, which will lead you directly to Lighthouse Texel. The lighthouse is located at Vuurtorenweg 184, 1795 LN De Cocksdorp. Keep in mind that parking may be available nearby but check for any parking fees.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  If you prefer public transportation, take the local bus service, which connects various towns on Texel Island. Look for bus line 28 or any bus heading to De Cocksdorp. The bus will have stops along the way; make sure to disembark at the De Cocksdorp stop. From there, it is a short walk (approximately 15 minutes) to Lighthouse Texel. Head northeast on the main road until you reach Vuurtorenweg, then follow it to the lighthouse. Check the local bus schedule for the most accurate times, as they may vary.

• Bicycle

  For a more active option, consider renting a bicycle and cycling to Lighthouse Texel. There are several bike rental shops in Texel. Once you have a bicycle, follow the bike paths towards De Cocksdorp. The paths are well-marked, and the ride is scenic. Once you reach De Cocksdorp, head towards Vuurtorenweg, which will lead you directly to the lighthouse. This option offers a great opportunity to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Texel Island.

• Walking

  If you're closer to De Cocksdorp, you can simply walk to Lighthouse Texel. From the center of De Cocksdorp, head towards Vuurtorenweg. The lighthouse is a prominent landmark, so you can easily navigate towards it. The walk is about 20-30 minutes depending on your starting point, and you will enjoy the local scenery along the way.
