Getting There

• Train

  If you are starting from The Hague Central Station (Den Haag Centraal), take the train towards Leiden. The journey typically takes about 30-40 minutes. You will need to change trains at either Voorburg or Laan van NOI, depending on the schedule. Once you arrive at Leiden Central Station, exit the station and head to the left towards the city center. Follow signs for the bus or tram stops if you prefer public transport, or you can walk directly to the Hooglandse Kerk.

• Bus

  From The Hague, you can also take bus number 33, which goes directly to Leiden. Board the bus at the closest bus stop to your location in The Hague. The journey will take approximately 40-50 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the 'Leiden, Station' stop. From there, you can either walk towards the city center for approximately 15 minutes or take a local bus that stops near Hooglandse Kerk.

• Walking

  If you prefer walking, after reaching Leiden Central Station, exit the station and head south on Stationsweg. Continue straight until you reach the crossroads, then turn right onto Breestraat. Walk along Breestraat, passing shops and cafes, until you reach the Hooglandse Kerk at Nieuwstraat 20. The walk is approximately 15-20 minutes and is quite scenic.

• Bicycle

  The Hague is bicycle-friendly, and you can rent a bike to ride to Leiden. Head east from the city center towards the N44 road. Follow the bike path signs leading to Leiden. This bike ride will take about 30 minutes. Upon entering Leiden, follow the bike lanes leading towards the city center. The Hooglandse Kerk is located at Nieuwstraat 20, and there are bike racks available for parking.
