Walking
If you're starting from the city center, head towards the Hofvijver, the pond adjacent to the Parliament buildings. Walk along the edge of the pond towards the east until you reach the Lange Voorhout street. Continue straight on Lange Voorhout until you reach the crossing with the Denneweg. Turn left onto Denneweg and follow it until you reach the Spaarne Canal. The canal runs parallel to the Denneweg and you will see the Spaarne on your right.
Public Transport (Tram)
From The Hague Central Station, take Tram Line 1 in the direction of Scheveningen. Get off at the stop called 'Ziekenhuis'. After exiting the tram, walk towards the Spaarne Canal, which is just a short distance away. You will see the canal on your left as you head south.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from the city center and head towards the Spui square. From there, take the route along the Korte Poten and then turn onto the Nieuwe Haven. Follow the road until you see signs for the Spaarne Canal. The canal is very accessible by bike and you will find designated paths along the water.
