Walking
If you are in the center of Utrecht, start at the Dom Tower (Domtoren) as your reference point. Head south on Domstraat towards the Janskerkhof. Continue straight onto Mariaplaats, then turn right onto Vredenburg. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Croeselaan. Here, turn left and continue walking until you reach Utrecht Central Station. From the station, take a train to Haarlem. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Haarlem Station, exit and head towards the bus stop outside the station. Take bus line 73 towards 'Haarlem, Waarderpolder' and get off at 'Haarlem, Gierstraat'. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk. Walk east on Gierstraat until you reach the intersection with Wijde Appelaarsteeg. Turn left onto Wijde Appelaarsteeg, and Hofje van Bakenes will be on your right at number 11F.
Train
From Utrecht Central Station, go to the train platforms and look for trains heading to Haarlem. You can check the departures on the electronic boards. Board any train that goes to Haarlem; the journey takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Haarlem Station, follow the walking directions provided above to reach Hofje van Bakenes.

After arriving at Utrecht Central Station, navigate to the bus terminal located adjacent to the train station. Look for bus line 73 towards 'Haarlem, Waarderpolder'.
