Tram
If you are at Utrecht Central Station, take tram line 20 towards 'Utrecht Zuilen'. Get off at the stop 'Utrecht Vaartsche Rijn'. From there, walk towards the north on the 'Vaarste Rijn' street for about 10 minutes until you reach the 'Maliebaan' street. Follow 'Maliebaan' until you reach the intersection with 'Oudegracht'. Here, turn left and continue walking until you reach the 'Domplein'. At 'Domplein', you can catch a train to Rotterdam. The direct train will take you to Rotterdam Centraal Station, which is a short walk from the Marines Museum.
Train
From Utrecht Central Station, take an Intercity train towards 'Rotterdam Centraal'. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Upon arrival at Rotterdam Centraal, exit the station and head towards the main exit. Once outside, turn right and walk along 'Coolsingel' street for about 10 minutes. Continue straight until you reach the 'Wijnhaven' area. The Marines Museum is located at Wijnhaven 7-13, just a short walk from the main area.
Bike
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike rental locations around Utrecht. Head towards 'Vredenburg' and then take the 'Janskerkhof' street heading south. Follow the bike lanes along 'Avenue van de Wereld' towards 'Rotterdam'. The cycling distance is about 50 km and will take roughly 2 hours. Upon reaching Rotterdam, follow the signs towards the city center. The Marines Museum is located at Wijnhaven 7-13.
Walking
Walking from Utrecht to Rotterdam is quite a long journey, about 50 km, and would take approximately 10 hours. If you want to enjoy the scenery, start from the city center and head towards the south via 'Oudegracht', then continue on the bike path along the river. Follow the walking paths that lead to Rotterdam. It is recommended to plan this as a day trip with breaks, as it is quite an extensive walk.
