Bicycle
If you're in the center of Utrecht, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many bike rental shops. Head towards the Utrecht Central Station and exit towards the 'Vredenburg' area. From there, follow the signs for the 'Jaarbeurs' and continue straight until you reach the 'Vaartsche Rijn' canal. Follow the canal north until you reach the intersection with the 'Oude Gracht'. Turn left and continue along the canal until you reach the 'Avenue' area. From there, follow the signs for Amsterdam. It will take approximately 30 minutes to reach Amsterdam.
Train
From Utrecht Central Station, purchase a ticket to Amsterdam Central Station. The trains run frequently, approximately every 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central, exit the station and head towards the 'Damrak', which is the main street leading from the station. Walk straight until you reach the 'Dam' square, then continue walking towards 'Rokin'. From 'Rokin', take a left onto 'Zeedijk' and follow the canal until you reach 'Dijksgracht'. Mediamatic is located at Dijksgracht 6, about a 15-minute walk from there.
Bus
You can take a bus from Utrecht to Amsterdam. Head to the bus station near Utrecht Central Station and look for buses heading to Amsterdam. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Amsterdam bus terminal, exit and look for tram line 26. Take the tram towards 'Amsterdam-NieuwWest', and get off at 'Zeedijk'. From there, walk towards 'Dijksgracht' by following the canal path, which will take around 10 minutes.
Walking
If you are already in the Amsterdam area, you can walk to Mediamatic from nearby landmarks. From the 'NDSM Wharf', head south along the water edge towards the 'Dijksgracht'. It is a scenic walk that would take about 20-30 minutes. Alternatively, if you are at the 'Central Station', walk along the 'Damrak' and continue until you reach 'Zeedijk', then follow the canal to 'Dijksgracht'.
