Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from Volendam to Muiderslot, head southeast on Havenstraat toward Kalverstraat, then turn right onto N518. Continue on N518 for approximately 12 kilometers until you reach the A1 motorway. Merge onto A1 in the direction of Amersfoort. After about 15 kilometers, take exit 6-Muiden. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Herengracht. Muiderslot will be on your left at Herengracht 1, Muiden. Note that parking may incur costs, typically around €5 for a few hours.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Muiderslot from Volendam using public transportation, first, take bus line 110 from the Volendam bus station to Amsterdam Sloterdijk. The journey takes about 25 minutes. From Amsterdam Sloterdijk, transfer to train line Intercity (IC) towards Amersfoort. Get off at Muiden station, which is about a 15-minute walk from Muiderslot. Follow signs toward Herengracht after exiting the station. The total fare for the bus and train is approximately €7-€10.
