Car
From Volendam, head southeast on Havenstraat toward Edam. Continue onto Edam-Volendam Road (N518) and follow the signs to the A7 motorway. Merge onto A7 and continue for approximately 18 kilometers. Take the exit for N305 toward Lelystad. After about 7 kilometers, take the exit for N302 toward Lelystad. Follow the N302 until you reach the Kitsweg exit. Turn right onto Kitsweg and follow the road until you reach Oostvaardersplassen, which will be on your left. There are no tolls on this route.

Public Transportation
To reach Oostvaardersplassen from Volendam using public transport, first take a bus from Volendam to Edam. Once in Edam, transfer to bus line 110 towards Lelystad. After approximately 30-40 minutes, disembark at the 'Kitsweg' stop. From there, it is a short walk to Oostvaardersplassen. Please check the local bus schedules for exact times, as they may vary. A single ticket will cost around €5.00.
