The most common ferry departs from Ameland or Terschelling to Harlingen. After arriving in Harlingen, follow the signs for the A31 highway towards Leeuwarden. Continue on the A31 for about 30 kilometers, then take the exit towards Leeuwarden. Once in Leeuwarden, follow the signs to the city center. The Fries Museum is located at Wilhelminaplein 92, 8911 BS Leeuwarden. Parking can be found nearby, but be mindful of local parking regulations and fees, which may range from €2 to €3 per hour.
