Walking
If you are in downtown Carson City, start by heading north on Carson Street towards the State Capitol. Continue straight for approximately 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with 5th Street. Turn left onto 5th Street. Walk for another 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with N Carson St. Turn right and continue walking straight for about 0.4 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. After crossing the intersection with E Washington St, continue straight for another 0.2 miles. You will now be on the outskirts of town; keep an eye out for the bus stop signs.

Public Transit (Bus)
From downtown Carson City, you can catch the Route 19 bus towards Lake Tahoe. The bus stop is located at the Carson City Library. Board the bus and stay on for about 30 minutes. The bus will take you directly towards Tahoe City. Make sure to get off at the Commons Beach stop, which is close to 400 N Lake Blvd. Follow the signs towards the beach area; it will be a short walk from the bus stop.

Bicycling
For those who prefer to ride a bike, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Carson City. Start at the rental shop and head north on Carson Street. Follow the same route as walking, but use bike lanes wherever available. The ride should take approximately 20-25 minutes. Once you arrive at the intersection with N Lake Blvd, continue straight until you reach Commons Beach. Be cautious of traffic, especially near intersections.
