Bus
From downtown Carson City, walk to the nearest bus stop on Carson Street. Board the Tahoe Area Regional Transit (TART) bus heading towards Tahoe City. The bus will take you on a scenic route, and you should stay on the bus for about 45 minutes. Get off at the stop for 560 N Lake Blvd, Tahoe City. From the bus stop, walk north along Lake Blvd for about 5 minutes to reach Watson Cabin Museum.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Carson City. Start your ride by heading north on Carson Street until you reach Highway 50. Take Highway 50 west towards Lake Tahoe, then follow the bike route signs that guide you towards Tahoe City. The ride is approximately 20 miles and will take about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Tahoe City, locate Lake Blvd and head north for about 5 minutes to find the Watson Cabin Museum at 560 N Lake Blvd.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and it's a nice day, you can walk to the bus station and catch a bus to Tahoe City, then walk to Watson Cabin Museum. Walk to the Carson City bus terminal located at 4th St and Plaza St. After boarding the bus to Tahoe City, you'll need to disembark at 560 N Lake Blvd. The museum is a short walk from the bus stop.
