If you're driving from South Lake Tahoe, head northwest on US-50 W. After about 15 miles, merge onto CA-89 N toward Truckee. Continue on CA-89 N for approximately 10 miles until you reach Tahoma. Once in Tahoma, look for signs directing you to the Rail Tracks. The parking area is located near the entrance to the tracks, where you can park your vehicle. Make sure you have enough fuel as there are limited gas stations in the area.
