Getting There

  • Public Bus

    To reach Ice Box Canyon from most areas in North Las Vegas, start by locating the nearest bus stop. You can take the RTC Bus Route 103, which operates frequently. Board the bus heading towards the Las Vegas Strip. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes and get off at the stop at the intersection of Lake Mead Blvd and N. Las Vegas Blvd. From there, transfer to Route 213 towards the Aliante Transit Center. Ride this bus for approximately 15 minutes. When you reach the Aliante Transit Center, get off and walk north on Aliante Pkwy. Continue walking until you reach the entrance to Ice Box Canyon, which will be clearly marked.

  • Bicycle Rental

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental shops in North Las Vegas. Once you have your bike, head east on Lake Mead Blvd. Continue cycling for about 3 miles until you reach the intersection with North Las Vegas Blvd. Turn right and keep biking north for another mile. At the next intersection, turn left onto Aliante Pkwy. Follow Aliante Pkwy until you see signs for Ice Box Canyon. The ride should take about 30-40 minutes depending on your cycling speed.

    For those who enjoy walking, you can start from the North Las Vegas Library located at 2300 Civic Center Dr. Walk north on Civic Center Dr for about 0.5 miles until you reach Lake Mead Blvd. Turn left on Lake Mead Blvd and walk for about 1.5 miles. When you reach the intersection with North Las Vegas Blvd, cross the street and continue walking north. After another mile, turn left onto Aliante Pkwy. Continue walking until you see the entrance to Ice Box Canyon. This walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
