Getting There

  • Bus

    From downtown North Las Vegas, head to the nearest bus stop on Las Vegas Boulevard. Take the RTC Bus Route 109 towards the Boulder City Transit Center. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes until you reach the Boulder City Transit Center. Once you arrive, walk towards the intersection of Nevada Way and 5th Street. From there, transfer to the Route 201 bus, which will take you directly to the Lake Mead Visitor Center. The Visitor Center is located at 10 Lakeshore Rd, a short walk from the bus stop.

  • Bicycle

    If you enjoy cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in North Las Vegas. Start your ride by heading south on Las Vegas Boulevard, then turn onto Lake Mead Parkway. Continue on Lake Mead Parkway for about 10 miles. Follow the signs for Lake Mead and make sure to stay on the designated bike lanes. You will eventually reach the Lake Mead Visitor Center at 10 Lakeshore Rd. The ride will take around an hour depending on your pace.

  • Walking

    If you are nearby and prefer to walk, start from the nearest public place like the North Las Vegas Library. Head south on Las Vegas Boulevard, then take a left onto Lake Mead Parkway. Continue straight, following the road signs towards Boulder City. Although walking this distance (approximately 12 miles) may be strenuous, it is a scenic route. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. Once you reach Boulder City, follow the signs to the Lake Mead Visitor Center located at 10 Lakeshore Rd.
