Public Transit
Start at the Reno Transportation Center located at 280 N Center St, Reno, NV 89501. Take the RTC RIDE bus route 15 towards Virginia City. This route operates frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait long. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Geiger Grade stop. From there, you will need to walk about 0.5 miles up Geiger Grade Road to reach Geiger Lookout Point. The road can be steep, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a moderate uphill walk.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in downtown Reno. Head south on S Virginia St towards E Plumb Ln. Turn left on E Plumb Ln and continue until you reach Geiger Grade Rd. Turn right onto Geiger Grade Rd and follow it uphill for approximately 2 miles. The road will lead you directly to Geiger Lookout Point. Be cautious of traffic as you ride along Geiger Grade Road.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking and are up for a challenge, start in downtown Reno. Head south on S Virginia St, then turn onto E Plumb Ln. Walk along E Plumb Ln until you reach Geiger Grade Road. From there, you will need to walk approximately 2 miles uphill on Geiger Grade Rd to reach Geiger Lookout Point. This route is a bit strenuous, so ensure you have plenty of water and wear suitable footwear.
