Public Bus
From downtown Reno, head to the nearest bus stop and take the RTC RIDE bus route 7 towards Virginia City. The bus will take you through the scenic countryside. Make sure to check the schedule for the last bus of the day. You will get off at the Virginia City stop, which is a short walk from the Virginia City Visitor Center located at 86 S C St.
Shuttle Service
Look for shuttle services that operate between Reno and Virginia City. These shuttles typically depart from major hotels or tourist areas in Reno. You can ask at your hotel front desk for the nearest shuttle service. Once you board, enjoy the ride to Virginia City, and you will be dropped off near the Visitor Center at 86 S C St.
Bicycle Rental
If you enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the bike rental shops located in downtown Reno. Once you have your bike, follow the designated bike paths towards Virginia City. It's approximately a 25-mile ride, so ensure you're prepared with water and snacks. The route will lead you directly to Virginia City, where the Visitor Center is located at 86 S C St.
Walking Tour
If you are feeling adventurous and up for a long trek, you can start walking from downtown Reno. Head southeast on S Virginia St, then take NV-341 (Geiger Grade) towards Virginia City. This is a long walk, approximately 25 miles, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. Follow the signs to Virginia City, and you will find the Visitor Center at 86 S C St.
