Car
If you are traveling by car, the Trail Of The 49ers Interpretive Center is located at 436 6th St, Wells, NV 89835. From Ruby Mountains, head north on NV-230 S for approximately 15 miles until you reach the intersection with I-80. Merge onto I-80 W and continue for about 30 miles. Take exit 352 for Wells, and turn left onto 6th St. The center will be on your right. There is no parking fee at the Interpretive Center.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, there are limited bus services available. You can take a Greyhound bus to Wells from major cities like Elko or Reno. Once in Wells, you can walk to the Interpretive Center, which is about 0.5 miles from the bus station. Head east on 6th St towards the center, which will be on your left. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be infrequent.
