Car
From the Ruby Mountains, head southwest on NV-229 towards Elko. Continue on NV-229 for approximately 25 miles until you reach the junction with I-80. Merge onto I-80 East and drive for about 20 miles. Take exit 303 for Elko and merge onto ID-93, then follow the signs for Wild Horse State Recreation Area. The entrance is located off of NV-227, approximately 5 miles from the exit.
