Getting There

• Car

  From the center of Spring Creek, NV, head northeast on NV-226 E towards Jiggs. Continue on NV-226 E for approximately 15 miles until you reach Jiggs. Turn left onto Jiggs Road and follow it for about 6 miles. The Zunino/Jiggs Reservoir Recreation Area will be on your right. Look for signs indicating the recreation area, and be cautious as some sections of the road may be unpaved.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options are limited in the Ruby Mountains area. If you are in Elko, NV, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to Spring Creek. From there, you will need to arrange a taxi to take you to Jiggs, as public transportation does not directly service this area. Expect to pay approximately $30-$50 for the taxi fare from Spring Creek to Jiggs, and then an additional $10-$20 to reach the recreation area from Jiggs.

• Bicycle

  For those feeling adventurous, you can cycle to Zunino/Jiggs Reservoir from Spring Creek. Start on NV-226 E and follow the same route as cars. The distance is about 21 miles one way, so plan for a full day of cycling. Ensure you have sufficient water and snacks, as there are limited resources along the way.   If you're an experienced hiker, consider making your way to the Zunino/Jiggs Reservoir via hiking trails.
