Start by heading to the nearest RTC bus stop, which may be located at the Sparks Marina Park. Take the Route 11 bus heading toward Reno. Stay on the bus until you reach the downtown Reno Transit Center. Transfer to the Route 20 bus, which heads toward Carson City. Once on the Route 20 bus, stay on until you reach the stop at 6th St & Carson St. From there, it’s a short walk to the Nevada State Museum, which is located at 600 N Carson St. Follow Carson St north for about two blocks to arrive at the museum.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Sparks. Start by heading south on Pyramid Way toward downtown Sparks. Follow the bike lanes until you connect to the Virginia Street bike path that leads into Reno. Continue on Virginia Street, crossing the Truckee River, until you reach the downtown area. Once in downtown Reno, navigate to 6th St and then proceed to Carson St, heading south. The Nevada State Museum will be on your right at 600 N Carson St. The total distance is approximately 20 miles, so be prepared for a longer ride.
