To reach the Nevada State Railroad Museum from Sparks using public transport, first locate the nearest RTC (Regional Transportation Commission) bus stop. You can take the RTC Route 15 or Route 16, which services the area. Board the bus and head towards the Reno area. You will need to transfer to Route 21 at the Reno Arts District. Once on Route 21, continue until you reach the Carson City stop. From there, it is a short walk to the museum located at 2180 S Carson St. Follow the signs towards the museum, and you will arrive at your destination.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike at a local rental shop in Sparks. Start your journey by heading south on Pyramid Way, then continue onto E Prater Way. Follow the bike lanes until you reach the intersection with 395 S. Proceed to use the bike paths along the highway, which will lead you towards Carson City.
