If you are in the downtown area of Sparks, start by heading south on Pyramid Way. Continue walking for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with I-80. Cross the street at the pedestrian crosswalk. Once across, turn right and walk west along I-80 for about 0.5 miles. Look for the signs directing you to Idlewild Park as you approach the exit. Follow the pedestrian path that leads you over the highway, which will take you towards Idlewild Drive. After crossing the highway, turn left onto Idlewild Drive and continue walking for about 0.2 miles until you reach the entrance of Idlewild Park located at 2055 Idlewild Dr, Reno, NV 89509.

From any location in Sparks, locate the nearest RTC (Regional Transportation Commission) bus stop. Take the RTC Route 12 bus towards Reno. Stay on the bus for approximately 15-20 minutes until you reach the stop at the intersection of Idlewild Drive and Plumb Lane. Once you disembark, walk east along Plumb Lane until you reach Idlewild Drive. Turn left on Idlewild Drive and walk about 0.2 miles to the entrance of Idlewild Park at 2055 Idlewild Dr, Reno, NV 89509.
