From downtown Reno, head northwest on N Virginia St toward W 1st St. Continue onto N Wells Ave and then merge onto I-80 W. Take exit 13B for W 4th St, and turn left onto W 4th St. Continue straight to stay on W 4th St, which becomes W 7th St. Follow signs for US-395 N and merge onto US-395 N. Take exit 66 toward N McCarran Blvd. Turn right onto N McCarran Blvd. Continue for about 3 miles, then turn left onto Rancho Dr. After approximately 1 mile, turn right onto San Rafael Regional Park, which is where the Great Reno Balloon Race is held. Parking is available, but be aware that there may be a parking fee during the event.
