If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto I-80 E from your location in Washoe County. Follow I-80 E for about 8 miles, then take exit 13 for US-395 N toward Reno. Merge onto US-395 N and continue for roughly 5 miles. Take exit 68 for NV-659/Sun Valley Blvd. Turn left onto Sun Valley Blvd and follow it for about 3 miles. Turn right onto Sidehill Dr, and you will find Sun Valley Regional Park on your left at 5905 Sidehill Dr, Sun Valley, NV 89433.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by locating the nearest RTC (Regional Transportation Commission) bus stop. Take the RTC Route 10 (which operates between Reno and Sun Valley). The bus will take you towards Sun Valley. Depart the bus at the stop nearest to Sun Valley Blvd & Sidehill Dr. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the park entrance at 5905 Sidehill Dr, Sun Valley, NV 89433. Be sure to check the RTC schedule for bus times and routes.
Biking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to bike to Sun Valley Regional Park, ensure that you have a bike route app. Head towards US-395 N, and use bike lanes where available. After about 5 miles, take the exit for NV-659/Sun Valley Blvd. Follow Sun Valley Blvd, which is bike-friendly, for approximately 3 miles. Turn right onto Sidehill Dr, and the park entrance will be on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and check the weather conditions before setting off.
