From the center of La Foa, head north on Rue du Général de Gaulle. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Route de Bourail. At this point, turn right onto Route de Bourail. Continue walking for approximately 15 kilometers along Route de Bourail. Along the way, you will pass through scenic areas, including local flora and possibly some small farms. Keep an eye out for signs pointing to Bourail and Bonhomme de Bourail. As you approach Bourail, you will start to see signs for the rock formation. Once you reach the area known as Bourail, look for the Bonhomme de Bourail rock formation. It is situated off the main road and is recognizable by its unique shape. The walk will take approximately 3-4 hours, so ensure you are well-prepared with water and sun protection.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of La Foa and head north on Rue du Général de Gaulle. After about 1 kilometer, turn right onto Route de Bourail. This route is approximately 15 kilometers long and is relatively flat, making it suitable for cycling. The ride should take around 1-1.5 hours at a leisurely pace. As you cycle, enjoy the beautiful landscapes of New Caledonia. Look for signs directing you toward Bourail, and keep an eye out for the Bonhomme de Bourail rock formation as you approach the town.
