Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Anse Vata beach area, head east towards Boulevard de la Baie des Citrons. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue de la République. Cross the road to continue on Rue de la République for about 1.5 kilometers. When you arrive at the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue Pierre Vernier and continue straight for approximately 600 meters. You will see the Tjibaou Cultural Centre on your right. The entire journey is about 2.2 kilometers and should take roughly 30 minutes on foot.

    From Anse Vata, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Boulevard de la Baie des Citrons. Take Bus Line 10 which goes towards Magenta. The bus ride lasts about 20 minutes, and it costs approximately 200 CFP francs per person. Get off at the Tjibaou Cultural Centre stop (Centre Culturel Tjibaou). From the bus stop, it is a short walk to the entrance of the centre.

  • Bicycle Rental

    If you prefer cycling, there are bike rental stations near Anse Vata.
