Getting There

  • Bus

    To get to the Tjibaou Cultural Centre from the city center, take Bus Line 10 from the 'Gare Maritime' bus stop. The bus will take you directly towards the cultural center. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest departures as the frequency may vary. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes, and get off at the 'Centre Culturel Tjibaou' stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the entrance of the cultural center.

    If you are in the central area of Nouméa, you can walk to the Tjibaou Cultural Centre. Start at Place des Cocotiers and head north on Rue de l'Alma. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue Jean Jaurès, then turn left. Follow Rue Jean Jaurès until it intersects with Avenue du Général de Gaulle. Turn right onto Avenue du Général de Gaulle and continue walking until you reach the roundabout. From the roundabout, take the first exit onto Route de l'Anse Vata. After about 2 km, you will see signs directing you to the Tjibaou Cultural Centre. The walk should take you about 40-50 minutes.
