From Poya, take the Route de la Côte (D6) south towards Nouméa. Follow the signs for Nouméa, which will lead you to the intersection with the Route du Sud (D5). Take the D5 towards Nouméa. Continue on this road until you reach the city. As you enter Nouméa, follow signs for the harbor where you will need to park your car at the ferry terminal. The ferry to Ilot Maitre departs regularly from here, and be sure to check the schedule beforehand. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes.
