Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Yaté, start by heading east on Route provinciale 1 (RP1). Continue on this road for approximately 25 kilometers. You will pass through beautiful scenery, including lush forests and hills. As you approach the area near RM3, keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Wadiana Falls. It's important to note that the road may be unpaved, so be cautious if you are in a standard vehicle. After about 30 minutes of driving, you should arrive at the parking area near the falls.

• Public Transportation

  There are limited public transportation options directly to Wadiana Falls. However, you can take a bus from Yaté to the nearest town, which is La Foa. From La Foa, you will need to arrange a local taxi or shuttle service to take you to the falls. The bus ride may cost around 300 CFP and takes about 45 minutes. Once in La Foa, the taxi ride to Wadiana Falls may cost approximately 1500 CFP, and it's about a 30-minute journey. Make sure to confirm the taxi return time with the driver as options for return transport can be limited.

• Hiking

  For the adventurous, if you are already near the falls and wish to hike, take the trail that starts at the parking area. This hike is moderately challenging and takes about 30-40 minutes. The path is well-marked, but be prepared for some rocky and uneven terrain. Ensure you have proper hiking shoes and plenty of water. This option is free but requires physical effort.
