Getting There

    If you are driving to Aliya Falls from any location within Franconia Notch State Park, take I-93 South. Exit at Lincoln, NH (Exit 32). Continue on Main Street through the town of Lincoln and follow the signs for the Kancamagus Highway (Route 112). After approximately 5 miles on Route 112, turn left onto a small unmarked dirt road that leads to the parking area for Aliya Falls. The falls are a short hike from the parking area, so wear appropriate footwear.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, you can take the Amtrak Downeaster train to the nearest station in Lincoln, NH. From there, you can catch the local shuttle service (check the local transit schedule for availability) that goes towards Franconia Notch State Park. Once you reach the park entrance, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to the trailhead leading to Aliya Falls. Please note that shuttle services may incur a fee, so check the latest pricing before your trip.

  • Hiking

    For those already within Franconia Notch State Park, the best way to reach Aliya Falls is to find the nearest trailhead. If you are at the Flume Gorge visitor center, head south on the Franconia Notch Recreation Path. Follow the path for about 1 mile until you reach the junction that leads to Aliya Falls. The trail is well-marked, but make sure to bring water and snacks for the hike, as well as a good pair of hiking shoes.
